My samsung tab S8.4 does not restart by continuously pressing the power button. Does anyone else experience the same?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean the Power menu doesn't come up when you press and hold the Power button for about a second?

No the menu does come up. But when i press and hold the power button it doesn't switch off or restart like my samsung s4 mini smart phone does.

I mean by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds.

Oh, you're talking about forcing a power off? For my devices, that usually requires the Power button to be pressed and held for about 10 seconds.
