Swiping up often takes 5-6 swipes to accept and sometimes won't at all. Any solutions?

Does it seem that the touchscreen isn't responding? Or is it swiping properly, but just not picking up?

After swipeing, it still shows the swipe up screen

Sorry for the simple-sounding question, but are you sure you're swiping up completely? Sometimes, if you don't swipe up enough, it isn't enough to register.

Yes I think I do. It used to work, now it doesn't.

I will make sure I go up the full screen.

I followed the link but the comments from people who did that were not reassuring so I think I will just put up with it.

Wiping the cache is a very routine process that doesn't affect user data, so I wouldn't be worried about it. But if you can tolerate the problem, then I guess it's not a big deal.
