Talk to text not working

Hello... I have WiFi access and the Google talk to search works but I cannot talk to text. I've checked my settings and made sure that feature is checked. I've ran updates, turned off the phone and restarted and it still will not work. I hate typing on these small keyboards and use the talk to text feature all the time (well until I got this new phone anyway). I have a Samsung Centura.

look on the keyboard for the "cog" settings key. long press it and a "microphone" key should appear. select it.

fyi - that Centura is an awful, slow, buggy phone. i suggest you look at an unlocked Nexus 5 or Moto G LTE direct from Google or Moto and bring it to StraightTalk.
