Who's ordering Fold 7

I think I’m one that always uses the phone open more than closed and I think that will still remain the case. But it’s going to be refreshing using the phone closed now agree my disappointment is the battery not going to the carbon silicone like Oneplus and others have introduced. I truly am spoiled with the battery charging and stamina

Yea there’s definitely two ways to look at it. I hated “having” to open the device every time I wanted to type out a longer text or email. I mainly like the inner screen when looking at pictures/media, email attachments, construction drawings, and obviously multitasking. That’s what made me explore other options with the Pixel Foldables and OP Open. I’m really excited for the ZF7 hopefully they ship a week early like the S25U did.

Glad to see you two and others upgrading. But I'm sitting this one out... not ready to part ways with the S-Pen lol, have a feeling it's gonna make a return once they figure out how to get it to work without the digitizer (or find some new technology).

Because I don't think Samsung would leave extra revenue off to the side long... even though they claim people didn't use the S-Pen, folks bought it.

This was the same with me; always used my ZF6 opened when I could; closed when making/taking calls etc - but for messages and other stuff, more so emails; it'd be opened

I unfortunately accepted VR a week or so back from Meta, so my ZF6 went back to them alongside my 15" MBA

Think I've made the decision to buy the ZF7 and new GWU Blue and sell my 16PM and AWU2 on (again)

I miss the ZF6 more than anything else; absolutely loved the GWU - but the ZF6 was the phone I reached for first etc, even though it was my business mobile...

I'll use the ZF7 as dual SIM and life will be less cluttered

Think I'm going to wait closer to the 22nd here in the UK before I splurge though; already seen a few on eBay UK listed by sellers with very high feedback (pre-orders obviously) but hell of a lot cheaper than direct from Samsung or Amazon UK; I'll probably sort it then and order the watch via Amazon UK as I've got £150 vouchers to use

I paid 600.00 last year on the Fold 6 after trade in, this year will cost me 400.00 more ...Big No thank you especially no SPen, no bigger battery , screen brightness same just thinner lol slightly bigger, nah...the Fold 6 has 6 more years of software updates and security we see next year fold .

Yeah, and the Fold 6 is still a great device... still running smoothly! And those AI features that's been introduced for One UI 8 on the Fold 7, could possibly come to the Fold 6.

But since you brought up cost... if you could pay $600 or less (after trade in) for the ZF7, would you consider it then? Because that's where I'm at with it... it's the fact I'm losing the S-Pen and paying more just don't add up for me.

F7 looks awesome and is tempting. But the 400 price increase (after trade), lack of Spen, UD camera removal, and minimal upgrades outside the main camera have made me fall in love all over again with my F6.....lol

I couldn't take it anymore and just submitted my order for a 512GB Z Fold 7 in Silver Shadow.

My guess is it'll get picked up next weekend, for delivery around July 22-23

Fold 6, S25U and iPhone?

Thinking of the ZFold7 only because the AT&T rep said they were giving $1100 for my S22U. Not sure if AT&T or Samsung will be offering that much for a 22U when the S26U come out so I have to think about it.

I still rock my iPhone15 when I am running, etc.

I was thinking I could use the $1100 from my S22U towards the Flip for running, keep my S23U until the S26U comes out and see if they offer $1100 for my 23U then LOL.

Even for the Galaxy S25 Edge trade-in deals and reservation credits were meh. I think Samsung has moved into a phase where the pre-order deals aren't as great as they were previously. Will be curious to see if they change the trend for the S26 series or if it'll be the way going forward.

600 or less it would probably sway me to upgrade, I do like thinner devices but not at the cost of features, I understand the SPen went out because they couldn't put it in that form factor so hopefully they can in the future and maybe bigger battery. But yeah price is another point I consider for sure.

Yeah that punch hole camera on the inner screen what were they thinking, just remove the camera at that point.

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to bash the Fold 7 it's a beautiful device , I like how thin it is , just not for me this year price wise/trade-in and some features missing hole punch camera.
I think for the majority it's going to be great, I'll probably do the same thing if the s26u end up in the same situation. I'll see Google's and Apple move later see if worth the upgrade.

One plus 13r has great build quality very light and 2 days heavy usage and 3 data light usage.
Nothing phone hasn't caught my interest.

Agreed! Finally found me an S-Pen Pro, had misplaced my old one and using the Fold Edition version. Surprised it’s only $25… will provide an update when received, already gotten a pre-shipment tracking number (purchased it 3 hours ago).
