Tango Mod still happening?

In light of some of the cool things they will be doing with AR shown at Google I/O today...I was wondering if they still plan on releasing a Tango Mod? I haven't heard anything in a while and remember only briefly hearing about it a while back.

I suspect that they're holding back mods to release a bunch when they announce/launch the 2nd gen Moto Z line.
