TB best ROM

Is there a ROM that is considered the least prone to data drops? I'm loving the smoothness and battery life I get on CM7 (switched today from Slayher's 7.1.1 to ProTekk's 7.2, btw), but I get random data drops and it's beginning to drive me nuts. I do prefer the battery life of AOSP ROMs.....

if Vicious could get MMS working on MIUI, that would be my vote as best rom. it's such a beautiful rom otherwise.

trying out Infected ROM Eternity now, and it's looking pretty good so far.

I'm on Liquid Smooth right now and it's nice, but it doesn't have all the smooth transitions of Gingeritis 3D. I feel about the same about BAMF Forever. I may even switch back to Gingeritis for the nicer lockscreen and screen transitions (unrelated to launcher preference).

MIUI is pretty, but a bit too different for me at the moment and much of the graphics have issues (like black text on black backgrounds).

Greatest ROM ever: M I U I

It is so glorious.

Others that are worth mentioning however would be:
1. iBolt - this is a great ROM. At the time I installed it, iBolt was the closest thing to MIUI. No real issues with it other than not being able to get bluetoof to work. Also, I seemed to get poor battery life.
2. SkyRaider Zeus Preview - This one uses sense which I dont particularly care for, but I figured Id try it anyway. I actually installed this earlier today while bored before I stumbled upon the MIUI thread. Anyway, it was really snappy and responsive, lightening quick, and battery life seemed great for the few hours that I used it (heavy use messing around with settings and setting everything back up, hardly lost any battery)
3. Cubed Rom - This is the first ROM I ever used and it was a great choice! It had some issues at the time (around July I believe) but nothing too detrimental. Relatively quick, and had some nice, but pretty basic, features. I just googled it and it appears as of 10/5/11 it is no longer supported for whatever reason.

Pretty sure those are the only ROMs Ive used... Ill add more if I think of any, but hopefully that gives you a few things to try out :) What I like to do is install a ROM, get everything redownloaded and installed, restore all my contacts, and set it up to my liking, then make a backup. This way, you can restore at any time to a perfect, clean version of whatever ROM you feel like running that day or week or whatever.

So far, (yes, I too am an addict) my favorite ROMs in order are:

1) Gingeritis 3D 1.07
2) BAMF Forever 1.10 FINAL
3) BAMF Forever Cubed 1.09

I haven't made the jump to MIUI yet, and I prefer the Sense 3.0 ROMs over Sense 3.5, because they have performed better on my TBolt. G3D is the fastest and smoothest with unmatched battery life... Once again, this has been my experience, results may vary.

1. BAMF Forever 1.10 Final
2. LiquidSmooth [mecha] 3.2
3. Gingeritis 3D 1.07

I have tired many other roms but always ends up flashing BAMF rom and the latest 1.10 from the forever rom is by far the best rom I have used

InfectedROM Eternity™ | NIGHTLYS | Sense 3.5 | XE BEATS AUDIO. Still in nightly phase but daily driver worthy. Extremely smooth rom, and definitely pops!

I love the Synergy Eternity ROM with the sense 3.5! Great dev team too.

BAMF is my 2nd choice.

These two ROMs are top dogs IMHO.

They are also very hot in development too. That's important to me.

Sent from my manly Thunderbolt device.

Running a rooted version of 605.5, as I went through a big move and time has been an issue where I didn't have time to put a custom ROM on my T-Bolt.
Great post, now I have time, and I am now deciding between Cyanogenmod 7.1.1 and BAMF.
Is BAMF more stable since Cyanogenmod isn't "officially" ready for the T-Bolt yet?

Thanks.

First, CM7.1.1 is an AOSP ROM, and if you are talking about BAMF Forever 1.10 Final that is a HTC Sense ROM... two very different experiences... and CM7 has been work just fine on the Thunderbolt for a long time, it might not be Official, but it does work, it just doesn't work with all the bell's and whistle's that Sense does (no MyVerizon or NFL Mobile apps). I'd consider both of these ROM very stable.

Thanks, sorry I should have said I knew the difference between the two ROMs. I prefer AOSP, but I was concerned about it not being "official".

Thanks for the input. I am going for Cyanogenmod (maybe) decisions decisions, another reason I love Android.

If you want to try an AOSP ROM, don't let the unofficial tag dissuade you from trying CM7. I've been running various versions since August and it runs well (and I don't care that MyVerizon and the NFL apps don't work). When I first rooted I ran a succession of BAMF ROMs (which are great) but found that I prefer AOSP over Sense. Good luck.
