I still don't know if I want to do a 1 year or 2 year right when it comes out. Right now I still have a standard flip phone so this is going to be a huge upgrade as it is. If I go 2 year then I'll be looking at getting the new phones that are going to be coming out next fall when the 20 months is up.

Personally, if you can afford the extra $100 or so it'll cost you up front for the phone itself, I'd recommend a 1yr contract. Ties you down for significantly less time.

1 Year contract makes more financial sense, period. You can sell the thing for around what you paid for, sometimes more even, that is not the case with the 2 year. I am not planning on changing carriers anytime soon, VZW is the best.
