Tbolt owners: do you have "phone envy"?

Wow! What a wonderful, considerate, warm welcome to a fellow new member. It's because of people like you making comments like that, that keep us newbies from asking questions and feeling welcome. Makes me wonder who the real 12 y/o is.

There is always going to be a smart mouth. Please don't let it keep you from asking questions.
I don't think anything is wrong with johnriii's post. Many people complain about their phones.
This is light hearted with no bad intentions. I have people tell me all the tome I have a great phone!

Absolutely no envy here as there is simply no other phone out there that is even in the same ballpark as far as I'm concerned! ICS? Meh (not impressed and IMO looks rather ugly) Dual core? Meh (single core Thunderbolt still rocks!) Native kickstand.... Bueller?... Bueller?... Bueller? Anyone? :p

I do go browsing the other phone forums out of plain curiosity and see all the issues they are having out of the gate (even that so called superphone everyone keeps raving about :p). You have to admit the ol' Thunderbolt, as the first LTE horse out of the gate, has really matured and is still a rockin phone after all these months! That speaks volumes to me! :)

A good friend of mine with Sprint is "researching" for his upgrade from the Hero, and is looking at samsung's monster phone that just came out in september (not sure of the name) but He really, really loves my Tbolt. He wants what I have, but doesn't want to lose the unlimited data. I think the EVO 4G is the closest he will get. He didn't like one thing about the samsung: it felt cheaply made. any of you out there know what the closest HTC phone is to the Tbolt?

Have been looking at the TBOLT I gave my mom in April while visiting during Christmas. Still amazed at how much I like the phone. I switched off LTE because she said she doesn't even do anything that data intensive and she wanted better battery life. Gorgeous screen. Very snappy.

Bought it for her so long ago and hear all these whiners. She loves it. Can't disagree with her. To her mine is gimmicky. Lol.

If he is on Sprint then it is the EVO. It is the only phone equivalent to the Thunderbolt

that's kind of what I thought. it even has a (lesser) kickstand. after talking to him yesterday, I think he's going with the samsung. the "internal memory" has him hook, line and sinker...:D.

I have had my Thunderbolt for about a month now and love it! I had a little problem with a dead pixel but was able to exchange it pretty easily.

Although the Razr, Rezound, and Nexus look appealing, I couldn't justify spending $299 for one. My only reason for getting one was cool factor. I was able to get my Tbolt on Black Friday for free.

I got my Rezound on bf too for $50, and if I sold the bundled headphones, then it would essentially be "free". IMO, for the same price, I think the Rezound is a much better buy spec wise, but the tb will have better dev support.

anybody who got their phone on or around BF, no matter what phone (but especially TB!) is a winner. My upgrade day was the day after, and Best Buy was still running black friday type sales. I surely would have gone with the Rezound if the deal would have applied to me, and I KNEW about it. someone here in the forum told me about it the day after I had my Tbolts. if I'm not mistaken, the deal only applied to new verizon customers? not sure it applied to us "upgraders". either way, FREE is always the best deal!!

The Rezound deal applied to upgrades as well.

My tbolt served me well but wasn't one of my favorite phones. It crashed all the time then they finally fixed it and then the delayed updates which screwed the phone up even more. Verizon refused to do anything about it and blamed HTC they did the same and blamed Vz. So after suffering from constant dropped data after the last update and having to reboot the phone 2-3 times a day to get data back I gave up and went out and bought a Nexus. And since I was already used to honeycomb the transition was simple. I for one have never been happier..this new phone works the way a 4G phone should and holds a battery charge all day under decent use. So all in all it was a mediocre phone at best and has made me look elsewhere that HTC for future phones. I'm glad some had a lot better luck that I did but all I can say is fair well tbolt. You won't be missed.

I probably would have considered the ReZound for $50, but I had already gotten the Bolt. The ReZound deal was already over when I found out about it.

Still very satisfied with my Bolt, though!

Happy New Year!
