Downloaded side sync on my galaxy 7 edge. App asked for permission to my contacts, sms,audio,etc... Is This safe or a possible issue concerning security, etc..

Since SideSync shares everything between your phone and your PC, it basically needs access to all of that information. Considering that it's a Samsung app (and not a 3rd party), I would be comfortable with security.
