Had an appt at 5:30pm (after work) at my corp VZW store tonight. I called at noon just to make sure they were holding a phone for me. Lady says, "Oh sorry, we sold out about an hour ago." HELLOOO? I had an appt with the dude supposedly holding phone for me. She said, "sorry, we can't hold a phone. That was a mistake, it's first come, first served." Great service.

So I call the store about 1mi from my work and the lady tells me they have 2 more. I jump in the car, walk in 10 min later and go up to the counter. The dude says, "so, are you set on the Galaxy Nexus?" I say, "yes, 100%." So he says to me, "let me show you the Razr!" I am thinking whaaaaa????? I am on an unanticipated lunch break and I need this phone like NOW, not in 20 minutes as you smooth talk me into yesterday's phone.

So I grab him and say no thanks, get me the Nexus ASAP please. He says, "I will get you all the accesories you will need too." I say no thanks, I am set. So he says, "no, you must have a sleeve, screen protector, car charger..." I pull out my preordered TPU case and tell him that he has 5 minutes to finish my upgrade or I am calling the manager. DOH.

He runs in the back, grabs the GNex, rings me up and doesn't even ask if I want it activated or anything. Just throws it into the VZW bag and out I run, back to work. Just the way I like it. I get to put in my little mini-sim and the new battery and turn it on myself for the first time! Geeky, I know, but I love that "new phone" smell. :D

^^^ Great story, wish mine went as good as yours.

Seems the corp experience is all over the place.

All I know from today is I WILL NEVER BUY IN A CORP STORE AGAIN!
