Telus S3, Want to Use it on Wind; How do I change my frequency?

Hey Guys,

Long time reader, first time poster.

#1 - I am with Telus. I have an S3.
#2 - My bills are so big, it's unbearable.
#3 - I'm going to move to Wind.

I did my research and it's the way forward for how my phone works and how I use data, etc.

I was wondering how one changes the bands that a phone uses. I am sure it requires a soldering gun or an expert?or both; where can I do this and how can I do it.

Any help is MUCH, MUCH appreciated. I have looked everywhere and can't find a thing on this.

While Telus still operates a CDMA network in a few rural areas, this statement is not factually correct - a Telus s3 is an HSPA+ phone, not a CDMA, so it will work just fine on Rogers/Bell.

Wind uses AWS frequencies, requiring an AWS specific model (T99something).

Telus DOES operate an HSPA/LTE network, not only CDMA.

You will need the T999 model version of the S3 to use it on Wind, not the i747M model that you have now.
