I am wondering if there is any difference in quality of glass screen protectors. I notice some are $5 on eBay and others are close to $40 or $50 retail. I would like to save some money but not if it means buying an inferior product that doesn't actually protect my screen. I am guessing the cheap ones will work fine, just thought I would ask.

Thanks in advance.

I paid $9 for the Tech Armor Ballistic Glass on ebay and I love it. Better than the actual glass on the phone itself as far as I am concerned

+1

I have the same one. I got it off Amazon.ca for $10 and it makes the screen look like a million bucks :) Retail price is $50!

I spent about $10 on one by luvvitt and have no complaints. While I haven't tried the competitors (zagg, spigen, etc.) it's hard to imagine how they could be 3-4x better to justify their prices.

I have a cheap icarez one from Amazon. Looks great and after 3 months not one scratch and still looks like new.

This. I love it, love the feel, just feels like the naked screen. No bubbles. I applied mine a bit off. My own fault. It does have a mm or less on the edges and around the home button. But still, looks amazing.

Thank you all for the replies. I have one on my S5 now that I bought from the AT&T store for about $40. I dropped my phone a few weeks ago and it cracked (did it's job). I was just looking to save some $ on the next one I buy.

Thanks again.

Got the 2-pack EXHEED with lifetime warranty. Beautiful, easy to apply and can't tell it's there. Amazon for 19.99

I got a cheap one it was only £10 including installation at the store. I've had it for 3 months and its been fine. No marks or scratches. I've only dropped the phone a few times and all were minor drops, onto soft surface or from not very high so I don't know how it would hold up of I dropped it face down on concrete for example.

I have been thinking about getting a tempered one, but the case I have on my phone has a screen protector built in. Will I still be able to put on a tempered one under my regular screen protector ?

I should take a glass plate for your display, its about $20/$25 and its really great for your phone!

Mine is a bit off as well, but really unnoticeable. A word to the wise... once it seals, it ain't moving! Line it up as quickly as you can.

I got whatever verizon has in their stores and couldn't be happier. I don't even know it's there and other than being a fingeprint magnet (like all screen protectors) there is nothing wrong with it. Spend the extra $20 to save hundreds. With the cheaper ones you usually notice scratches and marks after a while but the glass ones don't do this. and also don't disrupt colors

I got the iCarez glass off of Amazon. Like said before, try to get it straight cuase it is a bear to try to move after it's down. Believe it or not, it feels better (to me) than the S5's glass and the finger print reader seems to respond better. That might be due to it the glass protector feeling a bit "smoother" when sliding my finger, I dunno. For the cost, I think it was well worth it. And there's no little bubbles which I always seem to have with the plastic ones.
