Tempered Glass Screen Protector

To your first question, would you rather replace a cheap screen protector that broke or became scratched up, or the entire display for the same reasons? Screen protectors are sacrificial in nature so that damage isn't caused to the phone itself in most cases.

To the second question, I think I'm going to sit this round out. I used to use tempered glass protectors, but not this time. On my G4, it was replaced under warranty and I simply never got around to replacing the screen protector. Almost a year later and it's still flawless. My Verizon V20 has a clear plastic protector for shipping protection, which I'll keep on as long as it stays. When it can no longer hold up, I'll go without.

hi, thank you. And I am thinking about trying some new ones. I got a screen protector which is made of tempered supramolecule, which is flexible and wont crack. Have you heard about this?

why would you put another layer of glass on top of your screen, which is already protected with a glass layer on top of it? Do you guys all use the tempered glass screen protector?
I need to find another kind of screen protector for my Iphone 6, anyone can suggest?
Would rather pay $8 for a tempered glass protector or a $100 insurance claim for a broken screen? My wife breaks every screen she gets. I started putting tempered glass on her phones and she has broken two protectors but not one screen has broke, yet, lol

Is there any other screen protectors which are better than tempered glass? I think glass is much easier to crack.

I'm hoping to go to the mall later where there's a Zagg dealership who's installed a screen protector on my last 4 phones.

I'm not sure if they even have one for the V20 yet but if I'm able to get it installed I'll let everyone know how it works out and what the coverage area is for the V20 from Zagg.

Yea, thanks ATT for the lack of a screen protector and the crappy box.

Yeah and I don't know how people walk around with cracked screens that get progressively worse as time passes.

At least yall not around childrens... and i see them using their broken itouch and iphone without a screen protector... I had bought cheap iphone protector for me but had many extras that I put it on a few children itouch/iphones... so they dont cut their finger... 1-3 dollar for 5-15 screen....

One of my old post.. i forget what was my final verdict... but any case will give height to the phone so unless a pinpoint hit happen temperedglass or basic will work. Since there some report that the phone might be more fragile than it appear then tempered glass is better...

I'm going to grab the Verizon branded tempered glass today on my lunch break. They're usually fairly decent and only $18 after my discount!

Me too! Verizon is holding one at my store for me.

Don't do. XDA thread says these are garbage.

Wish I would have read your response before going to Verizon lol. It is garbage. Big time halo top of screen ugh

Not top derail the thread too much, but is your secondary screen text blue or teal? If so, were you able to change that yourself? I'd love something other than plain white for mine.

The one I got doesn't cover the 2nd screen:

That worries me a bit but it's better than nothing and at least there's no Halo. I may order something else this afternoon/weekend.

Ugh, no thanks. I'll still with the plastic one for now.

I have hope for this one:

Don't do it. XDA thread says these are absolute garbage.

That's Verizon's biggest profit for the salesmen. Would you believe when my EX bought a new Iphone they installed a plastic screen protector without asking and it had bubbles in it. She made them take it off. You also have to watch them in the store as they sometimes add the warranty without asking.

I just tried something and I think it might work?

I used to have a v10. I placed a v10 screen protector over the glass one I have installed that overlaps the curve causing the halo effect. It seems the v10 stops at top and bottom of the beginning of the halo effect. Meaning it is shorter than the v20 screen protector. So I was thinking if I order a glass v10 screen protector, it may be the perfect size?

Which is exactly what I did and it's arriving today. Trying the Yootech today and may try the ZAGG v10 one at the mall.
