Hi,

I have tried numerous times to turn on the personal hot-spot on my iPhone 4 so I can tether my nexus 7 to it to use the data, however I can't ever get it to connect for some reason. I can find the iPhone and when I enter the password it says "obtaining IP address" then "connected" then "obtaining IP address" then "connected". It seems to be stuck in this loop and doesn't actually ever connect

I checked with my service provider (O2 in the UK) and they support tethering at no extra cost so I don't think that is the problem.

Has anyone else had the same issue and managed to get round it without jailbreaking?

Thanks

Andy.

have you called your carrier? when it comes to Apple its always difficult doing these kind of things.(jailbreaking etc)

In android phones it only downloading an app from the store.

No problems here. Do it every day

Have you got Bluetooth enabled on both devices? Mine has a few issues now and then unless Bluetooth is enabled on both.

I'll give it a go with bluetooth enabled, see if that makes any difference.

Thanks.

Andy.

Rather than an IPhone 5, i need to tether my husbands WiFi Nexus 7 to his Samsung Galaxy i9000

Phone on Everything Everywhere (orange)

Any suggestions

Sorry for the late reply, not sure what the tethering options are on EE in the UK?
