Tether with Barnacle

Rooted Gingerbread using Barnacle WiFi.
It seems to work and I can surf okay.
I keep getting the message "NAT: Restart: Permission denied" every few seconds.
I've searched and can't find an answer as to why it keeps saying that. Again, I can surf the web just fine. More than anything, it's just a minor annoyance.

Busybox installed. Barnacle has superuser access.

Any thoughts? Is there a better (free) app out there for tethering? I don't mind USB tethering since I'm just using my laptop; and when I'm tethered, I have the phone plugged in to the laptop to keep from draining the battery.

I'd use the Android wireless teather if you search Google for that it'll bring up one from the open source database and it works great go with version 2.0.7.
