Tethered?

hey i jus tethered my droid to my netbook....am i going to be charged any more from verizon? first time ive done this..any info out there for me?

I am interested to know this as well. Does verizon use some tools to check this or do they start charging you once you are over your monthly data allowance?

Don't over use it and you should be fine. If they notice a big jump they will check your account and charge you. Going from basic usage to a lot will raise questions.

Also download and use the Google Chrome browser or Opera, just in case VZW software looks for IE, Firefox or Safari.

i've got that installed too -- works great, but I certainly wouldn't recommend doing it all the time.

Verizon charges people for an extra data plan if they plan on tethering it, so it would stand to reason you may be "punished" if they catch you doing it without jumping through their hoops.

i agree with the previous poster, if you usually average 1.5gb per month, and suddenly you're using 3-5gb+, they are going to figure it out pretty quick.
