I have not tried to use my OptimusV as a hotspot for awhile. I recently found myself needing Internet. When I turned on my 1 click tether app (no rooting) , it has stopped working. Has Virgin put a stop to tethering somehow? If not any ideas on a better app I could use? Thanks.

I use "Wifi Tether for Root Users." It can be found on the market but obviously you need to be rooted for it to work.

Try foxfi. It's hidden on the market so on your phone go to foxfi.com and it will redirect you do the market download. Foxfi works great and does not require root.
Edit: foxfi opens in the market, but says its our carrier does not support this. So go to FoxFi Installer and follow their instructions.

My hotspot is working just fine. Using Quick Settings, never rooted.
