Hello,
I just got the asus ee pad transformer for christmas, ive tried teathering it to my droid x via pda net and blue tooth, ive downloaded the pda net tablet on both sides and it says connected but there is still no internet connectivity. Im hoping its just a box i need to check, since im still learning this thing. Any advise would be great.
Thanks -Spencer

Spencer, it's a bit more complicated, than one check box, but it's not hard to do. The easiest way is to root the Transformer and then use Wireless Tether version 2.0.7 from android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting. But if you are unrooted, here are the steps to take, using a Droid x for the phone:

How to tether Droid X phone to Asus Transformer

1) On Phone and Transformer: Settings > Wireless & networks > Enable Bluetooth

2) On Phone and Transformer: Settings > Wireless & networks > Bluetooth Settings > Make Discoverable

3) On Transformer: Settings > Wireless & networks > Bluetooth Settings > Click to connect to your Phone under "Bluetooth Devices"

4) On Phone and Transformer: Click "Pair" button to pair your devices

5) If they're not connected after this automatically, repeat Step 3

6) On Transformer: Settings > Wireless & networks > Bluetooth Settings > Click on the wrench next to your Phone's name and make sure that under "Profiles" under "Tethering" it says "Tethered" and not "Use for Internet Access". If it says "Use for Internet Access", click it to start tethering.

The next time, since you've already paired your devices you can start at Step 5.

If everything works correctly, you should have the two Bluetooth icons in the system tray. The icon on the left meaning the Bluetooth is enabled and the one on the right meaning that you are using the phone's internet connection successfully.

If you do not have two Bluetooth icons on your Transformer's system tray, it isn't going to work. Try it again from step 1. Or root it.

Hope this helps you.

P.S. - you don't need PDA net tablet to do this.

Wow, thanks it works. Which ponders another question. Why do i need pda net to connect my phone to my laptop? Is it a bluetooth thing, since i have to use a cable to my laptop or a devise technology thing. But all and all, thanks.
