tethering wifi

Hi to all,

Benne having problems with wifi tethering, lap top sees the network.
On laptop click on my network thats on my phone, phone then sees
my laptop, address aquired, says it's connected, on laptop can not connect
to anything, I am usung barnicle, I did have it working a week or so ago.
Also went to my my verizon page when it was working, it showed up
as data being used just like the phone surfin then net.
Now I can get a good connection as described above, but no internet
data transfering between phone and laptop.
Any Ideas,

I'm having the same issue with both rooted wireless tether and PDA net. I can even do pings from my laptop to google but no browser will open anything. What is weird is that the phone cannot browse either until it's rebooted. Oh I failed to mention that it works fine for about 15 minutes or less then just quits and again this is with either wireless tether or USB PDANet app. I thing big brother V as some automated tool inplace to cause this but I'm not certain, nor do I know how they are doing it, it acts like they are using a firewall or ACL to block port 80 after they determine you are tethering without buying their overprice tether option. I just don't know how they can tell... Anyone else experiencing this?
