Has anyone tried playing games online on your computer using tethering with 4G? I'm just curious how well it could handle it.

i dont wanna ruin my sc record so no. jk ;) whenever i game i am on my desktop with a wifi connection so i guess i have never had the need or urge to try. i did think about it though. anyone put their tbolt to the test?

It all depends on the type of game you play. Verizon's 4G network is faster than my home broadband connection (7mbit down, 512k up) but it has much higher latency. What this means is that if you're playing a shooter you may experience a feeling of lag. Typically my roadrunner connection gives me sub 50ms ping times to my game hosts and you can expect 100ms or higher pings when using 4G ... at least that's what I've experienced so far.

If you're not playing a shooter or some other game that requires low latency then you won't notice a difference.

Also, when playing via tethering I find I always have moderate NAT. I've heard Verizon puts most IPs under some general NAT setting that doesn't really jive with xbox live.
