Tethering

I have a Samsung Captivate with a limited 2gig data/month usage. I know AT&T wants to charge extra for their tethering service...but if I do it myself (Like through Kies or some other way) will AT&T charge extra or do something? I hope it doesn't matter how I use my 2 gigs!

They won't charge extra unless you go over your limit. You can root and then tether all yiu want just watch that limit.

All you have to do is root it and you get free tethering (normal data fees)
