How do I get my S3 to stop giving me vocal alerts when I get a text? I can't find anything in settings to turn this off. Thanks, Ray

Have you checked to see if Driving Mode is off in the Notification drop down.

Thanks GT. The Bluetooth icon was on. I hope that's it. Ray

No that is not it. Scroll over and you should see Driving Mode. It makes the phone tell you who sent a text or is calling.

on the notification bar I have: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Sound, Screen Rotation, Mobile data, Power saving, Airplane mode and Sync. No driving mode. My S3 is Sprint 710. Ray

Go to Settings / Language and input / Text-to-speech output, and make sure Driving mode is off.

Even tho Driving mode was off, there were checks in the sub menu. I turned Driver mode on and unchecked everything in the sub menu then turned Driver mode off. Not getting the vocal notifications anymore. Thanks, Ray
