text messag not receiving

HI I am having trouble seeing text messages from a contact in my phone , I can see texts that I send but not pictures ,and I cant see anything they send me at all it is not coming through .everyone else in my contacts this is not happening with .

Are you both on T-Mobile? If so, check if you or them have enhanced messaging active. If you/them do, the messages should be visible on your stock messaging app, but not accessible to 3rd party ones (that includes even notifications that you even have a new message).

Did you switch from an iPhone?
Are you using the default Messaging app or a third-party, like Textra?

I'm having the same issue! It's intermittent and the only common ground I found that it's all messages from iPhones. I've never had an iPhone and some of the messages come through. I'm using Textra and it even happens with the stock app which I HATE! I have Verizon and it happens across carriers

Are the people texting you trying to use iMessage via WiFi? If so, that might explain why it's failing as normal texts (unless WiFi calling or similar services like Messages+ are active) need an active mobile connection to be sent.

I am having a similar issue. I am not getting texts either. Never had an Iphone, Sprint, Soft reset and reconfigured to network several times, deleted goSMS, cleared cache. I can send texts but can't get them from a lot of people. Some do come in. Nobody is blocked. Could an app update cause this?
