Text message doesn't show on home screen, nor does it vibrate.

Using S2 classic with Note 3 stock message app. I don't get text alerts to the s2 home screen. I was hoping if the watch is off it would turn on and vibrate when a text comes in. It does it for phone calls. Anyone else have this issue or a solution? Thanks.

There's a setting to light up the screen (default is off). I didn't feel the vibrations until I turned on long vibrate mode.

Hi, under settings If you mean settings/device/wake up gesture, I have had this on and off and didn't see a difference. I also have settings/vibration/intensity strong/long buzz selected. Is there a different settings I am missing? If I manually go left I can see the text notification but without manually going there I can't tell I got a text. Thanks for trying to help, I really wanted this to work.

No, somewhere there is a setting specifically to wake the screen when notifications are received but I don't remember where it is.

Found it...gear manager, notifications, turn screen on.

I've been having this issue with both texts and emails. I get phone call notifications fine but do not get texts or emails on my s2. I have checked every setting over and over and done factory resets on the watch and still no luck. I am using an LG V10 as my phone. I have since hooked up my LG watch urbane to my phone and it works perfectly. I wonder if this issue is a s2 issue or a gear app issue
