When I got my OneX, I noticed I had a issue with Text Messaging with 2 individules.
Here is what happens: In the Notification area the person's name appears and beneath it is Area Code and Phone #.
Example:
Android Central
(xxx) xxx-xxxx (mobile):
Also in the Text Box, when that person sends a message I first Get the (XXX) XXX-XXXX (Mobile): area code and Phone Number and then the messages.
so in the Grren Message Box it looks like this;
(XXX) XXX-XXXX (Mobile:
The Cow Jumped over the Moon
I probably have 10-12 individuals I text with on a regular basis, and only 2 have this phenomena occuring. Spoke to HTC, they have no answers other than there is a issue with Text Messaging and the Address Book.
On the Others, Their name appears properly in the notification bar, and their received text does NOT start with their phone number, as above.
Everyone is in my Google Address book as well-

Anyone experiencing this as well? Any Ideas?

Are you using the stock messaging app, or a 3rd party? Google Voice user?

Are those two contacts being pulled from the same Gmail account? Are they linked to any other account (the little chain looking thingee)? It seems like it is having trouble resolving those numbers to your contact. Curious if those two contacts are stored in a separate location (phone, gmail, goog+ etc).

One is in my google Address/contact book. The other was from the manager at the store who is not in my phone-contact book.
The other people whom I text with and do not have this issue are all in ny google contacts. I M using the stock text program that came with the OneX.

Do the contacts that its happening to have multiple numbers? I saw my One X do this to one of my friends.

Might want to try deleting and recreating those two contacts, to see if it solves it. Putting them in your Gmail account is safer than phone storage- Can't lost them anymore :).
