My friends and family are far flung (different time-zones), so we communicate a lot through texting. We got razrs a week and a half ago and at first everything was great. Now, every SINGLE TIME I get a new text, I also get a "text message not sent" message in the notifications drop down menu. This is as strange as it is annoying, since no message is being sent, and all previously sent ones are received. I cannot figure out how to make it stop. Any ideas?

I'm sure you will get more specific ideas from others but when something isn't right for me I do a hard reboot. Hold down the power button and volume down buttons till it restarts. About 10 seconds. So is it happening to all the razrs you got or just one?

My wife had that issue and the hard reset stated above worked for her. You should check out KIK it is an awesome cross platform text message app that tells you when the recipient gets it and reads it. It is free and worked with droids blackberry and I phones, even works with iPod touch. And uses the data plan not text plan. Good luck and welcome to your RAZR

Doesn't both parties have to use this tho?

Thank you both very much, I was hopeful, but not expecting a quick response. Only one of the razrs is doing it(mine), but he rarely texts. I had turned it off and on, but didn't know how to hard reboot. I just tried that and it looks like it might be fixed.

I have the Droid 4 and suffer from the same issue. I went through several resets and several sim cars they came up with resetting it with a clean memory card and dummy google account. I then had to reset again and reinstall my original gmail account. that seemed to work so far.

KIK does require all participants to use the application but it is with it in my opinion I have everyone that has a smartphone join then we can all chat with each other and it is push so it is instant like tenting.
