Text message out of order for 3 contacts only.

[Android Central Question]

I had some issues with iphone users not receiving my text messages. Called AT&T and they had to do some sort of Advanced Messaging Refresh on my phone (I have a Samsung S8+). After this occurred the 3 contacts that I had been trying to send pictures to went through, but now text messages being received by them have a time stamp of 5 minutes earlier than the actual time, thus causing their texts to be constantly out of order. Everyone else's texts are fine! Even had one of my contacts text my husband and he received it correctly with the right time stamp. Just my phone with the three contacts come in incorrectly. I spent hours on the phone yesterday with AT&T and Samsung and no one can figure out what is going wrong. Anyone have any thoughts.... it's very irritating!

This is with the stock message app? Can you try a different one?

Yes, this is with the stock text on my phone. There texts come in correctly using WhatsApp or Facebook messenger. But one of my contacts won't use any different message app but there stock one on their iphone.

When you say another message app what are you referring to? I have WhatsApp and Messenger and texts come in in the correct order on them. Not sure what other message app you mean? Sorry if I'm naive...

Ok thats what I thought from beginning lol
So can you try another text message app like Google messages? See if still happening

Downloaded google messages, that worked. Friends text message was received in the correct order. Does google messages have all the same features such as size of message (advance messaging) that the samsung stock app has?

Ok , good
It has some differences, but has RCS(Rich Communications Services)
Meaning read chats , writing of another andriod user with same rcs.
You can go back to your original message app and long press it then tap info and go to storage clear data and force stop it and see if it goes back to normal.
