Text message pop-up notification?

Hi all!

Love the phone so far despite the issue with the FPS....

Was wondering if there is a way to have your notifications from SMS "light up" / pop up on screen instead of just coming up in the "second screen" when idle?

You can try an SMS app that has a pop-up over lockscreen feature, such as ChompSMS and/or NILS, which will put notifications and previews over your lockscreen.

You actually don't need a separate app. If you go to the settings in the stock messaging app, under notifications there is an option to set it as a pop-up instead of the 2nd screen.

I just use Google messenger it shows fine, I also set notifications too priority so they stay at the top

I tried this but it still just pops up in the 2nd screen....
