Text Message tone after new update

After the latest update, the app that I had previously used to set custom text message tones isn't working for text messages. Anyone have the same problem and have a solution or is anyone using an app that still works?

I also have the same issue and not found an app that works.

Had the same problem. I ended up having to reset the notification in the Messages app itself. Go into Messages > Menu button > More > Settings > Notification Sound. It was driving me crazy too!

Yeah it somehow reset mine and I just went in a set it to what I had.

The stock Messages app.

Oh, im talking about custom tones. The stock app only lets you select factory sounds. I was using tone picker and after the update no longer lets me choose a custom sound for text messages.

I am using the stock apps. Created a SD card folder called "Notifications" and copied sounds over from my home PC. Those sounds show up in my choices list. Did the same for the alarm clock with an "Alarms" folder.

I was actually relieved after the OTA to hear a different tone set for my SMS. Normally, I customize the **expletive** out of my notifications/profiles. But with my Thunderbolt, I've just been lazy and have used the default for everything except my ringtone. So it was kinda nice.

I take tones off line and use them as sms tones
