Text messages and Samsung Notes issues.

I have a Galaxy S8+. Over the last few days I've been noticing these issues.
1. I notice that when sending texts, there will be a spinning icon for a few seconds then it goes blank where it normally shows delivered. We hen going back to my messages the text is just gone, and the person I sent it to never received it.
2. I've been writing down a bunch of notes in my Samsung Notes app, I noticed that something I wrote was gone, assuming I forgot to save, I rewrote my few things and added a lot more. Making sure I saved this time. Next day I go back to write more, gone.
So any ideas why this is happening or how to fix them?

I had a similar issue maybe a month ago with my Galaxy A5 (2017) & after posting through Samsung Members as I couldn't trust my device I was given the suggestion by a Samsung Rep to shut down my phone AFTER doing as complete a backup as I could trust & start with a Cache flush. This involved a sequence of buttons being held in a certain manner as my phone booted up & then selecting from the various Options under the Safe Boot mode menu, to start by wiping the cach then restart my phone from there. As this worked for me I didn't chase the matter any further so not able to say if there is more that can be done
