I have an app installed called SMS Backup that actually backs your messages up to a folder in your Gmail inbox from which you can restore them easily too. It's a free app too.

If you can find them on your sd card, could right click and see if there is a print option, I do not have a printer so I do not know. At worst you should be able to open the folder and copy the text and past into notepad on ur computer and then print them.

Even if you did, most smartphones don't store stuff on the SIM card anyway.
