Text notification after pressing power button

Hello all

Verizon, S6, totally stock except for Nova Launcher, no battery apps...

Most of the time, when a new text comes in I get an audible notification, if the same person texts me I don't get the audible until I press the power button then I get the notification. Kinda annoying since I have to keep checking my phone to see if a new text comes in.

I do use Simply Text on my phone since I use Might Text on my laptop. Is it possible that this might have something to do with my issues?

Anyone else having this issue?

check the settings on simply text. most likely there is a setting for that
