text notification and opening through homepage

So I get a text and I get the notification in the status bar...ok that's cool when I want to open the text through that notification. But if I open it by clicking on the actual message app icon on homepage or if I am still within the message program and I read it or reply, the icon in the status bar stays until you actually open the message from there. Anyway to make it go away when you have already opened or responded to the text? I don't want to disable it altogether, but it would be nice not having to constantly go up there to open the text so it goes away.

Im not getting that issue. try restarting or doing a hard restart on your phone
