Text notifications and vibration no longer working on Samsung Gear S2 Classic

I am new to Android and yesterday my notifications for my text messages quit working on my Samsung Gear S2 classic watch. When I get a call it shows on my watch but no other notification works. I have reset my phone to factory settings (Galaxy S7), reset my watch, uninstalled and reinstalled the Gear Manager app, disconnected and reconnected the watch, etc. I have no idea what to do at this point. Help....
