text tone during calls gs3

Ive got the galaxy s3 and it aggravates the hell outta me to be on the phone talking I get a txt and have to listen to a full ringtone before I can continue my conversation ive done everything I can think of and still cant figure out how to turn that off anybody know how to resolve this?

A couple of options?1-You could change the tone to "vibrate". This way you'll still know if a msg came in. 2-Change the tone to something very short. There should be a setting in the phone to disable incoming msg sounds while you are answering a call, but i've never seen it, and i've had the SGSIII since the start of the year. Sorry i couldn't give you a better answer.:'(

Open the Phone dialer then hit the Menu soft key. Tap Call Settings the go into Call Alerts. Uncheck Alerts on call.
