Texting App

I used to use GOSMS. After reading about it here a few weeks back, I switched to Textra.

Same story here. Very happy with the switch. I backed up my texts in Go SMS first but got a pleasant surprise when all my texts showed up in Textra without my having to do anything. :)

This is why I use ChompSMS though (or Textra) -- If someone texts me and I am in another app doing something -- A quick reply pops up and I can reply real quick from there .. and continue in my app. No need to multi-window it just to respond.

That isn't why I use a multi-tasking messaging app. I use it because I can then drag and drop to email, or contacts, or phone dialer, etc. All without having to cut and paste. To me that is the whole point of having a Note 4, to be able to do more, more easily.

Have to agree here. Was using textra but realized that the stock messaging app offers a lot of things textra didn't.

I love textra, the customization is awesome have had some issues with verizon to att but was actually a verizon issue

Google Messenger for me. I love how there's no lag, just super fast. MMS sending and receiving works with no issues and I never had to mess with apn settings at all and android wear functionality is great, just wish when you get a message the vibration notice on the watch was more than just the one short vibration.

I use Text Plus a lot now. I don't know why because I used to hate it. It has the wifi calling, but not the best interface.

I tried a bunch of different texting apps on my old phone, but always go back to stock. Multi tasking doesn't hurt either

Messenger plus the video chat is great

I started using textra today after this thread and like it so far. Haven't texted much with it yet but it does seem quicker than the stock app.

How do you setup group messages on Textra? When I use it I get single responses from people on separate threads
