Texting not working.

I had that

Hello. I am really nervous right now. On my phone, I am rooted and have one click lag fix v1.1+. I can text but I can't receive texts. I'm not sure if people receive my texts. I really don't want to reset and restore my phone because I would have to get my apps back and stuff. Any Ideas?

I had nearly the exact issue, minus the OCLF. I had installed a theme (wrong build number version) over my ROM

Do you have a theme installed?

What was the last thing you did to your phone before SMS and assuming MMS stopped working?

Well I don't remember what I did before texting stopped working. I didn't really notice until now. I just thought people weren't texting me. I didn't install a theme or nothing.

And my system info is:
Hardware Version: i500.04
Model Number: SCH-I500
Firmware Version: 2.1-update1
Baseband Version: S:i500.04 V.DL09
Kernel Version: 2.6.29
Build Number: SCH-I500.DH12

Yeah that won't work because your build is the earliest for the fascinate. let me see if I can find that radio

OK so here is the problem, at the start you thought you were running DL09,,did you flash DL09 before we had told you to.. the reason im asking this is because if for you to tell us you were running DL09 you either guessed or you saw it in your about phone section....if you saw it in your about phone area, that means you installed DL09 radio long before we had told you to ...if thats the case that is why you are not receiving texts. your build and radio are incompatible..

so here are your options, either flash using odin to a different build which may wipe your phone of settings

or hope someone can find a DH12 modem/radio which is so old that i cant find it , i cant find a system dump either

you could try an over the air update but im quite certain it will fail because your phone doesnt have matching baseband and build,,,also you have lagfix , thats going to need to be disabled or hope that a flash fixes it....

what are you afraid of loosing if you flash new firmware?

There won't be a DH12 radio out there, which is why the whole "don't use the phone button in odin!" was such a big deal. There was no way to recover from that. The OP's only option is to flash DL09, but he might as well make the jump to 2.2

I must be really starting to catch on to this stuff because I remember asking him/her to provide build number.

Go to the android market, download titanium backup. Once you have it installed, open it up, let it read your system, click on backup/restore at the top center of the screen. this will show all your apps. hit the menu button and choose batch, then choose backup all user apps and system data. That will take care of that for now. We will revisit restoring your apps when you get to that point.

OK I backed everything up... I think...

Open titanium backup and after it is done reading your syestem, hit the backup/restore and it will list all your apps. If you were successful it will say "1 backup. Latest created 2/13/11 and whatever time you did it.

Id suggest regular.super clean and I suggest disabling lagfix before you move on. Gunnermike can help with this
OK that's all set. If it's possible, I'd like to update to 2.2 Voodoo lagfix, or whatever you'd like to call it :)

And I'd suggest doing some reading so you can understand what is happening here. The more knowledgeable you are, the easier it will be for all of us to help you.

Do you think it would be possible to flash Superclean 2.2 Voodoo kernel to my phone with odin after disabling lagfix? And if I did that, would I be able to use titanium backup and restore everything?
