How come with Android phones you can't text over WiFi. This has to be the most frustrating thing. My service is Sprint and I know it's not the greatest. I even turn on wifi calling thinking that can send the text but NOOOO.

Are the any different messaging apps that use wifi tondo texting? Thanks

Texting over wifi is a feature that some carriers support.
Of the carriers that support it, some plans allow it while some do not.
On your phone, you usually need to turn on the "enhanced calling" feature.

Some SMS apps support it, some/most do not. Often times, the basic SMS app that your carrier put on the phone may be the only SMS app that supports it for that carrier. Sometimes a third party SMS app will support wifi for SMS but not for MMS.

On my LG V30 with AT&T, the ATT sms app supports wifi for SMS and MMS. Textra only does wifi for SMS, not MMS.

So we wait for the carriers to support RCS with the Universal Profile....
