Texting problems with nexus 4, Android 5.0.1

Sometimes people do not receive my texts (particular texts sent from Georgia to Colorado)

Welcome to Android Central! What carrier do you use? Have you asked them about the issue?

I use Ptel (a secondary that uses T Mobile's towers) and they are aware of the problem but haven't solved it. Because I cannot find other people having texting issues on this forum, I am thinking the problem is with the carrier. Thanks for responding.
