Texting- Receiving and sending seperate

When texting one of my contacts, sending and receiving r in seperate places. When looking at my texts there are two groupings for this person, just the ones I send, and the other just what he sends me. How do I put them in the same "conversation" like grouping?? Basically I want to be able too read the whole conversation.
