texting videos

New to android- what app is best for taking pictures and videos and then texting them?

The one that I use that surpasses the limitations of the stock messanger by a lot is WHATSAPP..... but the other person has to have it also. For pictures the stock messanger is not really a problem but for good quality video WHATSAPP.
