Textra and 'Always sleeping apps'

Will I not receive text messages if I put Textra app set to always sleeping apps?

Or should I add it to not monitored apps? I had to put Messenger in the 'Not Monitored apps' because I wasn't receiving messages from Messenger.

From my experience using Greenify, killing an apps background activity will prevent notifications. I would put Textra in unmonitored.

Okay. I wasn't sure. I've tried using Greenify before. My S9+ is unrooted. So I'm not sure how much Greenify can do to kill apps background activity.
