Textra and Android Auto

Anybody using Textra with Android Auto? I get the notifications when I receive a text on the screen of my radio. But, it doesn't read out the messages, anymore. It use to read out the messages before, but it hasn't done it in awhile. All I get now are the options to reply, etc.
Anybody know why?

@cr500taco99 did you ever work this out? I just got a new car with android auto. When textra messages come in, I just get a "ding" sound and a counter in a white dot goes up. I don't even see who sent it unless I tap on that notification or on the textra icon in the launcher. None of the settings inside of android auto seem to change this (including the "ding" sound, which is unaffected by turning the "Chime" setting on or off in android auto) . Honestly the native (ford sync) process is better, and so was the was the process on the 2015 jeep I just got rid of. They'd both tell me "new text message from so and so" and give me a "read" or "play" button to listen to it.
