"tge" instead of "the" - Help please.

No matter how hard I try not to, I almost always type "tge" instead of "the".
Can anyone please tell me if there's a way to tell my phone to type "the" every time I type "tge" ?

This what do to create word shortcuts. This might solve your typing issue.
Go into the keyboard settings and then Personal Dictionary. There you can put in "tge" as the shortcut and "the" as the word. See screenshots. This may or my not work.
Also check the words that are in your dictionary. TGE might be in there. Delete it if it is.
Maybe add "the" in the dictionary.

Welcome to Android Central! It should autocorrect for you -- unless you somehow saved "tge" as a preferred word. Try typing "tge", and then look for it in the suggested words above the keyboard. Long-press it, and then drag it to the Remove area. Now see if it autocorrects correctly.

Try different keyboard , Google Gboard or Swiftkey

What keyboard app are you using? Do you have autocorrect enabled on this keyboard app?

I agree with @mustang7757 about trying a different keyboard app.

I still would look into the other keyboard , Samsung is not what it use to be .
