I had the camera crash/not open a few times, also had it drop to 1X a LOT more than usual compared to my BlackBerry's. Also had the lock screen bug out once, other than that I haven't had any issues. But I did get my phone new with 2.2 already on it.

The only thing that Blur ads are widgets I thought? At least that's what Motorola said?

Now those I related to. I experienced the video camera crashing (reboot solved) twice the slide locked during a phone call, installed LP and haven't had that since (could be unrelated) but I have always had a good signal, connection, gps accuracy on my X. Honestly, no such thing as a perfect smart phone, my buddies DINC failed him from time to time, oh I could go on and on, but overall I have been very happy with the x. And I have had a lot of phones to compare them to.

I think phones that CAME with 2.2 installed on them are fairing better than ones that got the OTA. As for Blur, it is much deeper than just widgets. It deals with syncing accounts and background processes. It stinksss

I have ZERO issues with my droidx. Why are you running ring tones from your SD card? Im just guessing you are from the description of your problem.

I would try a factory reset as described in the sticky above.

I love my X and its 99999 times better thaan my old Storm.

+1 I had both Storms 1 & 2 and I have to agree, my DX is much better. The advice to factory reset is very good advice. I had to do it twice but got it right on the second time around.

I would offer sympathy if I saw that it was involving one DX, but 3??? Something's not right and based on my DX, I don't think it's the phone. Could be the way it's being updated, could be the lack of a factory reset, but the phone and 2.2 is not worse than 2.1, problems with code, jeesshh! who doesn't have problem with code.

If he would try the reset, I think he would have better luck. Might even have to do it twice like I did.

WOW! Someone with the same phone history as me, well at least the last four phones. I went through a bunch of WinMo phones before getting onboard with a Curve.

Misunderstanding is the number one cause of phone issues, once people get past that, the phone seems to work better.

I owned both Storms, two WinMo devices... and I have to say the DroidX, even with a few issues, absolutely KILLS all of those other devices combined. You want to know what my original Storm's job is now? I kid you not, it's my bedroom door stop. Since my door won't stay open, I jam the phone between the door and carpet, and that's probably the best thing the Storm has ever done!!!

Running Stock ROM. No issues.
I removed everything from the home screens after doing a full reset.
I have LP installed and have no issues.
My phone can be up for 4 or 5 days.
I occasionally have the battery status issue but nothing requiring me to reset everyday.

...as for myself I have done 3 resets 2 times as in the instructions in sticky, stilll a no go I'm sic of setting up all my settings, everytime it's ez to get contacts and apps back but to tweak the settings every time gets old.

Yup I should have them memorized by now tho

I think I remember you and I going back and forth already over the subject of rooting and ROMS (I love them and you don't?). Why don't you just get Verizon to replace your phone? I've read a number of times that devices coming with 2.2 pre-installed are running fine compared to the OTA upgrades. I don't know that all of them are like that, but it seems like most are.

This phone is way to awesome to have it not run well.

I would also recommend you take back your x. Just reading how aweful yours runs the last few weeks makes me think that trading couldn't hurt. I and as others have stated, the x is a great android experiance. I suppose you don't have to, and can keep posting how swell your phone is that you pay service for? Trying to help, good luck.

Yeap its me, lol. I was wanting to keep this phone if at all possible because its on perfect condition and sometimes referbs aren't.

Im hoping the update fixes it since I'm pretty sure it's just the software not the hardware.I'm not sure why some are affected and some not tho but if after the update is out and its the same then I will take it back to vzw
