The annual trade-in race

In all my years of purchasing new phones and earbuds from Samsung's website, I have never had a problem with a trade in, or phone return.
I dropped mine off at the UPS store in Prescott Valley and this is the tracking info at this time....

Now to follow it until received.....

Yea just in case your new phone takes a big dump you're not screwed then.

That and just in case you don't like the new phone. This year I knew instantly I like the new phone, largely due to the privacy screen, so I sent the trade in phone in right away. It does make a difference in speed of accepted email the faster you send in, but I still suggest waiting a week.
 
Mine was delivered almost a week ago on March 17th. Till date, I have received an acknowledgement from Samsung that they received my trade-in. Still waiting for the trade-in acceptance email.

From other replies here, it looks like the trade-in evaluation team took the entire last week off .

Sent the wife's trade in to TMo and mine to samsung. Both were delivered to each on the 16th. Tmo just approved the trade in today. Still waiting for samsung.
 
At&t got my trade in phone on the 19th and Best Buy got my buds 3pro trade in on the 23rd. Now I'm just waiting on my acceptance emails.

Update: buds trade in went through. Now just waiting on the phone trade in.

Same situation for me as well. Really hoping the email comes today/tomorrow so I can stop worrying about this silly thing.
 
It seems this happens every release. At first, approvals are moving quickly, but then I think the process just gets bottlenecked from sheer volume.

There's no guarantee that the employees even process the returns in the order they're received.

Paranoid much! I have never seen them charge because they couldn't inspect in X days. They can take 14 months, and you still won't be charged. The only way you get charged is if your trade-in inspection is complete and gets rejected, not because of time.

Right. If you receive the email saying they received the trade in, you just have to be patient at that time. You won't be charged until they inspect your phone, and it can take longer then 14 days

Roughly how many days from ups delivering the phone to them (delivered date) to even getting an acknowledgement email that they received your phone please?

PS: no need for that info now. it was received this morning and now, at 6:40pm, i just got the "we received your device" email. so i got this email within the day.

I think I got mine last Tue. Monday my phone was delivered to them via UPS and Tue got an email. Been 9 working days and still no approval for my trade in yet.
