The battery is draining fast when the WIFI is on after the last update. How can I stop this?

The battery is draining fast when the WIFI is on after the last update.

After the last update on the S5 (Lollipop???) the battery drains so fast and the phone doesn't connect but says it's dialing. Plus texting doesn't always work. I took it in to Verizon and they did a soft restart but nothing changed. the battery holds a charge better when the WIFI is off. Only have had the phone for a year.
