Hey, you guys have an Android Virgin here.
I've used a MotoQ for probably the past 5 yrs. Love that phone and I'm having a tough time getting used to the Android.
I don't care for the txt msg bubbles. Hopefully there's a crom for that?
The guy at the AT&T store showed me lots of kewl stuff but I'm lost as a goose now.
I know I love this one once I figure it out.

Welcome to AC!!

There is most likely a plethora of apps for text messaging. Handcent is the only one I can think of off the top of my head, but, I don't know what the display looks like and if it uses bubbles or not. I use Google Voice for text messages, and, there are definitely no bubbles.

At the Direction of Mojave I found Go SMSpro. It can be customized so it has no Bubbles.
Is Google voice a voice to txt application only or does it allow manual texting? I don't want to put others thew the pain and suffering of me speaking though my text messages when I'm at the office or just in a group somewhere. Babbling on a cell phone in the grocery line, at dinner etc is a major pet peeve of mine!

You can enter text via the keyboard with GV. I use it because I get free text messaging with it. I had to train the people I text with to text me at my GV number, instead of my carrier number. But, now they all know how to and it saves me ten bucks a month.
