The Dialer Is the Laggiest App in N6/Lollipop

It's horrible. Five+ second delay after I tap to call someone from History or the quick.dial tiles. I can't even tell if the call is going through because it just sits there for a while until the screen comes up with the option to put on speakers mute, etc.

Anyone else?

Any solutions?

How could they think this was acceptable?

Are there other dialer apps u can download on Google play until Google gets around to fixing the dialer app? Haven't looked into dialer apps myself.

I'm reluctant to do that as I'm concerned it would interfere with the flow of the phone. Guess it couldn't be worse.

What does it mean that it includes Contacts? I don't want a new Contacts app. Or does it just mean that it accesses your contacts from the system?

It includes contacts access from system and show them in the skin or theme that you choose.

Thanks. Just tried the dialer on my M8 running 5.0.1 and it's snappy. I'm hopeful that 5.0.1 fixes the dialer for the N6 when it's released. I will await that update on my N6. Hopefully that solves the problem. If not, I will be very disappointed and will have to resort to a third party dialer.

I'm waiting for a calm down of the Nexus 6, maybe in a couple of months I will buy a 64GB from Google Play or for Amazon. I will use this dialer app because at 58 years old Lollipop whites are to much for me.
