The female navigation voice is horrid

The female turn-by-turn navigation voice on the GN is horrid. It sounds like a middle aged woman who is just getting over pneumonia. It's very breathy and sounds like a sick person. Reminds me of my mom just before she died.

I had to change mine to the British male voice after one trip.

I'll take the old computer like voice of the Thunderbolt any day.

Didn't anyone listen to this before it was shipped?

Settings > Language & Input > Text-to-Speech Output > (on the right hand side of "Google TTS Engine" click on the settings icon) > Language

Change it to English (United Kingdom)

Try the Ivona TTS and their various voices. I find them better quality than stock.

I had been using them on my Thunderbolt but their volume is too low to hear in a car.
